Chikas is an Australian web series, made by and for CHIKAS!
High achieving Aussie Asian Queer Sydneysiders Jazz and Alex eject themselves from the corporate jungle to pursue their creative freedom. However, when they come out tho their very traditional families as ‘dirty creatives’, they find themselves bearing the weight of a Chinese mother’s guilt.
As they chase their dreams at the bottom of a soju bottle, they end up homeless, hospitalised, and heartbroken, struggling to adjust to their new lifestyle.
Using their charm and high achieving tendencies imbued in them from the trading floor, they stumble upon questionable enterprising means, igniting a rollercoaster of adventure. They battle between their two warring sets of Western and Chinese values, facing moral dilemmas (does Jazz really want to play an Asian prostitute again?) and high life hedonism (like sugarmamas, since parents say success equals money).
Join their quest to find their identity but will they achieve their dreams?
